Tootsie Time! Nail These DIY Pedi Tips From Celeb Manicurist Skyy Hadley
Newsflash: It’s still winter in Florida. As I write this post, it’s a positively balmy 46 in good ol’ St. Pete. Brrrrr times a billion.
But guess what? In about a hot second, it’ll be a gazillion degrees celsius in the Sunshine State.
Will your toes be ready for that? Like gorgeous and show-off worthy?
I hope so.
If not, maybe start giving them some at-home TLC immediately, with these great tips from manicurist-to-the-stars and As U Wish Salon owner Skyy Hadley.

See? Told you so. Now onto those tips:
Skyy’s Top 4
1. Always use a primer. People often forget this step with their toes, but it’s very important. This is a key factor in allowing the color to last as long as possible.
2. Apply cuticle oil every other day. Keeping your cuticles moisturized will help create the illusion that your pedicure is brand new.
3. Never skip top coat. Similar to the primer step, always use a top coat to prevent your polish from chipping. You only need one coat, but be sure to seal the entire toe by painting to the end of the toenail, as well as going underneath to the edge to seal in the polish. This should allow your pedicure to last 3 to 4 weeks. A great one is Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat.
4. Squeeze a little lemon. To add a bit of luxury to your at-home pedicure, squeeze some lemon into lotion and massage into your feet. This helps moisturize, brighten the feet, and give them a nice scent! Another good tip is to combine Vaseline with lotion and apply to your heels to prevent cracking.
