Cute-Collabo Alert: Hot Skin Doc Whitney Bowe x Mott50 UPF Swimwear Capsule Collection
We at FBP are always on the hunt for fantastic-looking sun-protective clothing (the unicorn of the apparel world, basically), so we're already big fans of Mott50, a leading brand in the space.
In contrast, Dr. Whitney Bowe, a derm based in NYC, has only recently crossed my radar. Listen - there are scads of amazing skin docs. I can't be close personal pals with every single one!
Still, Dr. Bowe's star is on the rise, so she has my full attention. She has a new book out - The Beauty of Dirty Skin - she's popping up on TV on the reg, and she's an avid product-recommender in the "Dr. Whitney's Picks" section of her blog.
It shouldn't be a huge surprise that Dr. Bowe is on board with chic, sun-protective clothing. The new collabo - Dr. Whitney Bowe x Mott50 UPF Swimwear Capsule Collection - just went on sale yesterday, and features three styles in Bowe's signature "Spiked Melon" shade:
Sonja ($118) - A super-sharp swim dress that doubles as a top when you cinch the sides
Mila One-Piece ($118) - A one-piece that has "gorgeous Bond Girl" written all over it
Mini Mila ($44) - For your stylish little tot-lette
Personally, I think I (and my sporty daughter) need all three of these perfect-for-Florida wardrobe adds. I'm not the most religious sunscreen-slatherer, and with all my outdoor time, I'm asking for big, big trouble down the pike. Crinkles and wrinkles trouble, sure. But I mean bigger trouble. Like skin cancer trouble. I don't need that jazz. And if I can keep it at bay and look sharp as a frigging tack in the process, why wouldn't I?
