A New Bond No. 9 Store Just Opened In Miami's Design District + It Is Capital G Gorgeous
We weren’t able to make the splashy opening-night party a few weeks ago (sadness), but Florida Beauty Problems is officially totally psyched for one of our favorite New York-based fragrance brands - Bond No. 9 - and its truly stunning new store in Miami’s Design District.
Here’s a cute pic from that night, featuring, from left to right: Ocean Drive magazine Editor In Chief Patricia Tortolani (whom I know + love), Bond No. 9 founder + CEO Laurice Rahme (whom I also know + love) and Miami-based television host Andrea Minski (whom I don’t know but am sure I would totally love if I did):
In this pic, Laurice is wearing a frock in the same muy caliente leopard print featured on the bottle of the brand’s patchouli-spiked “gourmand oriental” New Bond Street scent. Can you spell s-y-n-e-r-g-y? This lady doesn’t miss a trick.
She. Is. On. It.
Laurice and I go waaaaaaay back. Like back to the 90s way back, when she single-handedly put the iconic Annick Goutal fragrances on the American radar. She is French + feisty, and has made Bond No. 9, a line based on the “conceit” of highly specific New York City streets and neighborhoods, into a global machine.
A few months ago, when I found out Laurice was opening the Miami Design District store, I hopped on the phone with her to chat about all things Florida and fragrance. I recorded our convo, and now I just need to find that recording on my little digital voice recorder contraption and get that interview published.
I promise to do that ASAP. It’s really good. But until then, if you’re prowling around Miami’s Design District, be sure to pop in the Bond No. 9 store and splash out on a fragrance or five.
